課程概述

本課程主要將藉由文學研究與批判理論這兩個角度切入，引介導讀西方二十世紀所興起的種種文學理論、探討理論的精神與研究方法。課程將幾個重要的文學理論家與理論進行整理，做重點式的文學理論導讀。課程內容包含：語言學家索緒爾以降的結構語言學、雅克慎的語言結構溝通、托鐸洛夫的敍事結構分析、羅蘭巴特的文化與文學後/結構主義、德•曼的符號學與修辭、阿圖塞的意識形態說、傅科的知識論、德希達的解構主義等等。

This course will provide an introduction to literary theories and criticism from structuralism to post-structuralism. The focus will be placed on the study of literary theories from Ferdinand de Saussure, Claude Lévi-Strauss, Roland Barthes, Paul de Man, Gilles Deleuze to Jacques Derrida through various class readings and discussions in terms of historical trends and ideological construction
 

課程目標
 本課程的目標有二：一、引介西方文學理論與批判方法，以歷史的背景佐以文學理論的興發，將文學理論與西方社會文化做連結。二、培養學生對於西方文學理論的瞭解，提升學生學習文學理論的興趣，在進行文學研究時，能積極的運用批判精神與理論方法。
